A longtime resident of Hilliard, having moved to the community in 1994, I was drawn here by the small-town charm paired with close proximity to Columbus.

Every Monday, Bob Poling can be found volunteering at our Historical Library and Archival Center, where visitors explore local genealogy resources and learn about Hilliard's rich history.

Peggy Trump and her husband, Dan, have been dedicated members of the Hilliard Ohio Historical Society since 2014, actively contributing to various aspects of the organization. Peggy currently serves on the Society’s Board of Directors.

Bevan Schneck’s Journey to Preserving Hilliard’s History

Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus are getting set to meet their public at the Historical Village’s Train Station from 2 to 5 pm Sunday, Dec. 15. Admission is free.

The Claus couple is portrayed again this year by Historical Society members Chris Jordan and Peggy Trump.

They will be assisted by three young Society members portraying elves: Morgan and Eren Miller and Braylen Wilson.

Kathy Chandler used to hate history. Today she’s vice president of the Hilliard Ohio Historical Society. It was a beloved, long-time member and leader, the late Randy Smith, who introduced her to the amazing facts that make up history, especially local history.
